The NYC Wiccan Family Temple

“Founded on July 4th 2007. The Wiccan Family Temple tradition at its core, is a practice based upon many traditions. This core tradition has been conceived by two eclectic witches by harmonizing and synergistically blending time-honored tradition(s) into practical modern based witchcraft.”

We respect Witches of all traditions, levels and we enjoy coming together to celebrate, raise energy and commune with LIKE MINDS.

The Wiccan Family Temple creates a space where witches can learn, share and gather to trade knowledge, experience, and power.

We study in solitude as well as in groups to gather hands on experience.

The study of the divine and the craft is an infinite process.

We enjoy learning which is why we formed the WFT Academy of Pagan Studies in July 2007 and the Dragon Academy for the kids Sept. 2008.

We believe that a wise witch never stops learning. For there is an entire world to learn about and many traditions to be.

Our tradition has dedications NOT initiations

We believe that being a Witch is a way of life that should be shared with the entire family when possible. We welcome our members to bring their children and their non-Wiccan family members to share in our open celebrations.

We love to chant, sing and dance. We believe in healthy living, taking care of the Earth, our communities, the environment and our bodies.

The Wiccan Family Temple strongly believes in becoming politically involved and aware.

In August 2007 we created the NYC Pagan Council. a civil rights organization to help Witches who is struggling with their legal rights within the greater community.

History of the founding Witches of the Wiccan Family Temple:

Rev. Starr RavenHawk HPs Elder:

Has been a practicing Eclectic Solitary Witch since 1978. Founder of Charmed by Starr in 1993, trained with The Minoan Sisterhood under Mary for 2 years.

Starr has been organizing and serving the New York City Pagan Community since 1993 providing lectures, classes, workshops and festivals related to the Pagan Community.

She specializes in The Enchanted Candle Spell Castings teachings and therapy since 1995.

In 1993, she started her own Pagan shops based out of several locations, VideoHaven with Artie, Halloween Adventure, and finally, the East Village Shop on East 3rd Street in and started her online shop in 2005: www.charmedbystarr.com. In October 2005 she began the first Witches Masquerade Ball with newfound friend Zan. She is currently High Priestess and Elder of the Wiccan Family Temple.

Rev. Luna HPs Elder:
Is an Eclectic Solitary Wiccan Witch. She studied theology, mythology and magic since she was a child, where magic seems to have always been a part of her life. She is a teacher, artist and scientist by trade, which means that she cannot be a part of any religion that cannot accept evolution. Becoming Wiccan was like coming home to her. Finally, a group of people focused on what was really important. People that understood the only way to change your world is to change yourself; not to point the finger at others. Most people don’t know how powerful they can be.

Initially attending a Charmed by Starr event in quest for a group to share the holidays with, she felt at home. Time passed and the group inspired her to become the founder of the New York CityPagan Council; a pagan civil rights organization.
